Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Technical Field & Assembly Technician to join our team on a full-time, 6-month contract, with the opportunity for extension based on performance and project needs. This hands-on role combines electrical/electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, system troubleshooting, and field work to support the installation and maintenance of our monitoring systems. You’ll work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure our equipment meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and calibrate custom electro-mechanical monitoring equipment.
- Assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in the field.
- Perform mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes with accuracy.
- Perform wiring, sensor integration, and data system verification.
- Support documentation and quality control during manufacturing and service processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Willing to get hands dirty and accept multiple roles and tasks.
- Basic understanding of sensors, wiring, or control systems preferred.
- Comfortable using tools and diagnostic equipment and have at least basic understanding of sensors and wiring
- Must be willing to travel to field sites (primarily in Western Canada).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good computer and iphone skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
