Lube/Tire Technician Apprentice
Position Summary
NFS is seeking a motivated and reliable Lube/Tire Technician Apprentice to join our service team. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual looking to develop a career in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will assist with preventative maintenance, tire services, and basic vehicle inspections while receiving hands-on training from experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, lubrication, and routine maintenance services.
- Remove, install, rotate, balance, and repair tires.
- Inspect tires, brakes, fluids, lights, and other vehicle components.
- Check and maintain tire pressure according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist licensed technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete work orders and inspection reports accurately.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Interest in pursuing a career in automotive service and repair.
- Previous automotive, tire, or mechanical experience is considered an asset but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
- Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
