Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, performing manual labor, and supporting skilled tradespeople. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople as needed
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Help with concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Set up scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment for various tasks
- Perform demolition or restoration work as required
- Assist with flooring installation, tile laying, or cabinetry work
- Support plumbing, electrical, or masonry tasks under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety
Skills
- Experience with blueprint reading and schematics preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely
- Construction experience across various trades such as carpentry, masonry, or electrical work is a plus
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, or restoration techniques is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is beneficial but not required
- Familiarity with construction estimating or caulking is a plus
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in team environments
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills related to construction processes and safety standards
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
