Overview
We are seeking an experienced Boom Boat Operator to join our team. You will safely maneuver a boom boat to sort, herd and corral logs in the water ensuring smooth feeding from the dryland sort ramp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a boom boat in various weather conditions
- Herd and sort log bundles efficiently in the booming grounds
- Perform routine daily maintenance, safety checks and minor repairs on the boat and engine
- Work closely with the dryland sort crew to meet production goals.
- Follow all company and marine safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Must have the following valid certificates - SVOP, ROC-M, Marine First Aid with transportation endorsement.
- Must have at minimum 1 - 2 years experience working on a boom boat (dozer or winder)
- Must have reliable transportation to and from our worksite.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours; shifts will depend on the tides.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
