Cashier / Customer Service Associate
Job description
B&P Cycle and Sports is a leading retailer of bicycles & hockey in Calgary for over 50 years. We are currently seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a full-time Cashier and Customer Service Associate. Previous experience in a specialty retail shop is recommended. You must be a bicycle or hockey/ringette enthusiast to understand the industry. Riding bikes or appreciation for the outdoors and/or playing sports is also recommended. Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
Provide expert product knowledge and advice to customers.
Process customer purchases and returns using the POS system.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Participate in store events and promotions as required.
Qualifications:
Passion for cycling and actively ride and/or play hockey/ringette or other sports.
Strong customer service and sales skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in retail sales, preferably in a bike/hockey shop or related industry.
Knowledge of bicycle and/or hockey/ringette gear and components is an asset.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
