Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor / Service Secretary to join our service team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, managing service appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between customers and our service technicians. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding care. Prior experience in sales is a plus. Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive for service appointments
- Schedule, confirm, and update service appointments using dealership management systems
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding trailer repairs, maintenance needs, and estimated timelines
- Assist technicians by providing detailed trailer information and work orders
- Handle transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, service history, and billing information
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote additional services or vehicle upgrades when appropriate
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with trailer repairs is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Sales experience, including upselling techniques, is advantageous
- Proficiency in basic administrative tasks
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
