POSITION: Shop Labourer (Hydraulic Rebuild Department)

POSITION SUMMARY
We are a Heavy equipment component rebuild company seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Labourer to support our rebuild department This is an entry-level, physically demanding role suited for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a safety-first mindset.
The successful candidate will assist technicians with daily tasks, maintain a clean and organized shop, and help ensure smooth production flow. This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
This is a full-time position for 40 hours/week and 8 hours/weekday. Work hours are between Mon - Fri 7:00am - 3:30 pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist rebuild technicians with various jobs as required
- Operate stand up forklift in shop and regular forklift in yard
- Core preparation including cleaning, rust removal, parts prep, and painting
- Operate, clean and maintain equipment such as:
- Cuda parts washers
- Sandblasting cabinet
- Solvent tanks
- Perform minor rebuild tasks under mechanic supervision
- Clean and maintain shop equipment and work areas
- Move materials, retrieve cores, and manage scrap and waste disposal
- Assist with core management and inventory organization
- Monitor shop supply levels, create order forms, and put away incoming orders
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment (floors, benches, waste areas)
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the shop foreman
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Safety-conscious with a strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable and conscientious work habits
- Ability to follow instructions and take direction
- Flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks
- Strong organizational skills
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Reliable transportation to the Maple Ridge location
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Standing for extended periods throughout the day
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
