Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team for a PArt-Time/ On-call position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for changing parts on CNC Milling Machines. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge to produce high-quality precision parts, and must be able to use measuring tools such as a vernier and micrometer. The CNC Machine Operator will play a vital role in ensuring efficient production, quality control, and safety within our manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Change parts on milling machines
- Ability to work independently
- Change Tools and measure offsets
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines based on technical drawings and specifications
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the machining process to detect defects or deviations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, packaging, and other manufacturing processes as required Requirements
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Mastercamfor designing or modifying parts
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, quality control, packaging, and warehouse operations
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks
