Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Logging Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks to transport logs and forestry materials safely and efficiently across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. Responsibilities
- Safely operate logging trucks and related heavy equipment to transport timber from harvest sites to processing facilities or storage areas
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Assist with loading and unloading logs using hand tools, power tools, or other necessary equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working in forestry environments, including adherence to environmental guidelines
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, cargo, and vehicle maintenance records
- Collaborate with forestry teams, landowners, and other personnel to coordinate transportation schedules and logistics
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks as needed, including clearing debris or maintaining access roads
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues on trucks and heavy equipment
- Construction experience or background in land management is highly desirable
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as loaders, skidders, or other forestry equipment
- Experience with landscape maintenance tasks and the use of hand tools, power tools, and GIS technology for mapping or planning routes
- Commercial driving skills with a valid CDL license required
- Familiarity with the operation of GIS systems for navigation and route planning is a plus
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation, logging procedures, and environmental regulations
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on trucks and equipment to minimize downtime

Pay: $39.00-$45.00 per hour
