Starlite Sales & Rentals Ltd. is a locally owned and growing event rental company serving Southern Alberta. We provide professional sound, lighting, staging, photo booths, and event equipment for weddings, corporate functions, festivals, school events, and private celebrations.
We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative & Event Crew Member. This is a hands-on position that combines customer service, equipment preparation, and event setup and teardown. Every day is different, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and working both indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person, over the phone, and by email with rental inquiries and bookings.
- Prepare rental contracts and process customer transactions.
- Pick, pack, inspect, clean, and maintain rental equipment.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Deliver, set up, operate, and dismantle event equipment including:
- Audio systems
- Lighting systems
- Staging and trussing
- Photo booths and other event rentals
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and event installations.
- Ensure all equipment is returned clean, tested, and ready for the next rental.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and general shop duties.
- Work as part of a team to ensure events are completed on schedule and to the highest standard.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are considered an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during busy event seasons.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience operating trailers or larger vehicles is an asset.
- Experience in event production, audio/visual equipment, or equipment rentals is an asset but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.

AV and event industry expereince an asset but not mandatory.
