Window Covering Installer and Service Technician
Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with all clients in a professional and service oriented mindset
- Install new window coverings, including but not limited to blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and motorized products
- Must confidently install in a wide range of surfaces from wood to drywall to metal and cement.
- Remove old window coverings and dispose of properly
- Troubleshoot and problem solve in the field
- Perform in-field window covering repair
- Leave clients home clean and free from damage, debris, dust, etc.
- Turn in all required paperwork and field reports, take photos of completed work and send review requests.
- Effectively work with owner, admin staff and designers in a small team environment. Be able to give effective and quality feedback on any field issues.
- Work with Installation Manager to maximize efficiencies
- Maintain work van, tools and equipment in clean and operational condition
Qualifications:
- Must be professional and presentable in physical appearance
- Friendly, courteous and pleasant with all types of people
- Possess a professional work ethic demonstrated by being reliable, dependable, responsible and mature
- Provide an excellent and clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
- Preference given to those with previous window covering experience
- Secondary priority given to work experience in the trades; Carpentry experience preferred.
- Can perform physical work with no limitations or restrictions
- Can lift up to 50 lbs
- Very comfortable with ladders, stairs, scaffolding, bending, stooping and climbing
- Must be able to operate small power tools; drills, saws, etc.
- Can read and take accurate measurements
- Telephone, written and verbal communication skills are easily understood and meet the high level of professionalism Budget Blinds provides to its clients
What We Provide
- Full time work in 5 days a week, typical schedule is 8:30am – 5:00pm. Overtime rates apply after 40 hours per week.
- Pay is based on your experience- Apprentice starts at $18/hour. Experience dictates starting range of $20-28 per hour.
