Hodgson Contracting Ltd. is currently accepting applications for the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic. Applications open to Journeyman and apprentices.
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills. This is a hands-on position that will provide valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. This is a shop based position, with occasional field service calls. Someone interested in all aspects of heavy truck and equipment repairs, including welding and fabrication would be ideal.
Duties Include:
- Perform all necessary preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot units and identify problem areas.
- Ensure that all maintenance schedules are maintained.
- Ensure that all paperwork is completed timely and accurately.
- Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
- Assist with CVIP inspections.
