Part-Time Store Associate

Pay: CA$16.00–CA$18.00 per hour
The UPS Store in Stony Plain is seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer‑focused Part-Time Store Associate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll support customers with printing, packaging, shipping, and mailbox services while maintaining the professional standards of The UPS Store brand.
Availability Requirements
- Business Hours - Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Saturday between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Part-time hours will be scheduled within these windows
- May be required to work occasional shifts at our Edmonton location
- Local candidates will be given preference due to scheduling and operational needs
What You’ll Do
- Provide friendly, professional customer service in-store and over the phone
- Actively listen and offer accurate information on products, services, and solutions
- Operate store equipment: computers, digital printers, wide-format printer, copiers, scanner, fax, binding machine, POS terminal
- Produce print jobs following quality and production standards
- Process and prepare packages using UPS shipping software
- Advise customers on packaging requirements and shipping rules
- Pack items using approved materials and procedures
- Handle sales transactions (cash, cheque, credit card)
- Sort and distribute mail to mailboxes daily
- Assist with new mailbox setup
- Answer and direct calls in a friendly, professional manner
What We’re Looking For
- 6 months to 2 years of retail or customer service experience (preferred)
- Graphic design experience (preferred)
- Experience with wide-format printing (preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, and Canva (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and office equipment
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and perform standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Professional appearance: khaki pants/chinos and closed-toe shoes (company shirts and name badge provided)
