Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate receipt and documentation of goods, and maintaining organized storage. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our warehouse distribution processes, requiring experience with heavy equipment operation and warehouse management systems. The Receiver will play a key role in supporting order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and overall inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Utilize warehouse management systems to document receipt of goods accurately
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products, packaging materials, and supplies
- Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment or storage
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with inventory control teams to update stock levels and manage storage locations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy equipment operation and material handling
- Operating Raymond Reach Forklift Machine
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and order pickers
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order fulfillment processes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory management
- Prior experience in logistics or warehouse environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while adhering to safety standards
- Valid certification and experience operating Raymond Reach Forklift machine
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
