One-year Term Employment Opportunity
The Municipality of Yarmouth is currently looking for a Finance Officer to join our team for a 1-year term.
The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is looking for an experienced professional to fill the role of Finance Officer for a one-year term. The main responsibility of the Finance Officer is the payroll function, including benefits administration and statutory reporting, with accounts receivable / payable functions as well. This position will also assist the Director of Finance in report preparation and financial analyses as required.
This term position will begin in September 2026.
Salary commensurate with education and experience (59,263 – 92,598).
The ideal candidate will have accounting diploma from Community college or degree in a business administration program, (focus on accounting would be an asset). A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and payroll administration functions using computer applications is preferred.
