Fashion Associate – Job Description

Are you passionate about fashion, enjoy helping people, and love creating beautiful displays? We're looking for a friendly, dependable team member to join our Fashion Department. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for style, and takes pride in creating a welcoming shopping experience.
As a Fashion Associate, you'll help customers find products they love while keeping the department organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing. You'll work alongside the Fashion and Giftware teams to create an enjoyable experience for every customer who walks through our doors.
Job Overview
The Fashion Associate supports the daily operations of the Fashion Department by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining attractive merchandise displays, and assisting with inventory and store presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner.
- Help customers find clothing, accessories, and gifts that meet their needs.
- Replenish merchandise and ensure the sales floor remains clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Maintain attractive product displays and visual merchandising standards as directed by the Fashion Manager.
- Process new merchandise, including receiving, tagging, steaming, and preparing products for the sales floor.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and maintaining an organized backroom.
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately when required.
- Help prepare for seasonal changes, promotions, and special events.
- Work collaboratively with the Fashion, Giftware, and Market teams to create a positive shopping experience.
- Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures.
- Represent Unger's Market by maintaining a positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Passion for fashion, style, and helping customers.
- Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
- Organized with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable learning new technology, including point-of-sale systems.
- Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and seasonal busy periods as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise when needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
