Kamloops Home Hardware Building Centre is looking for an experienced Class 3 Driver with significant Moffett forklift experience to join our Shipping Team.
This is not a standard delivery driving position. We're looking for someone who is confident operating a truck-mounted Moffett forklift to deliver and unload heavy building materials at active residential and commercial job sites throughout the Kamloops area.
(Please Note; The operation of a moffett (truck-mounted forklift) requires a specific license + a high level of technical skill and proven experience operating on uneven terrain, construction sites, and tight access locations.
What You'll Be Delivering
- Lumber and engineered wood products
- Drywall and sheet goods
- Door and window packages
- Roofing, siding and finishing materials
- Large contractor orders and homeowner deliveries
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Valid Class 3 Driver's Licence
- Several years of experience operating a truck-mounted Moffett forklift
- Experience unloading lumber, building materials, or other heavy packaged products
- Safe driving record
- Excellent customer service skills
Physical Requirements
This is a highly physical role. Applicants must be able to:
- Lift, move and secure heavy building materials throughout the day
- Frequently climb on and off the truck and Moffett forklift
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Walk across uneven construction sites while delivering materials
- Perform repetitive physical work for a full shift
This position is not suitable for applicants seeking primarily driving work with minimal Moffett experience.
