Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
- Assist dentists during examinations, cleanings, orthodontic adjustments, and other dental treatments with precision and care
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring patient safety and compliance with safety protocols
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic, accurately documenting procedures and notes
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort during visits
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, confirming patient details, and managing check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist
- Maintain strict infection control standards by following sterilization procedures and handling dental materials responsibly
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting or related healthcare roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry enhances communication with team members and patients
- Experience working with pediatric patients or in orthodontics settings is advantageous
- Basic understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools used in orthodontic appliance fabrication is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment are essential
