Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
- Assist with patient examinations and recordkeeping using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Provide support during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric care
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas
- Bilingual communication with patients to improve understanding and comfort (preferred)
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and documentation
Skills
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state requirements
- Proficiency in Dentrix or other dental office management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Experience in dental assisting or working within a busy dental practice is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
