Ritewall Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager that specializes in ICI Drywall activities to join their team.
The ideal candidate must be able to display a minimum of five (5) years experience as a Project Manager, with a minimum of two (2) years Project Management experience focused on drywall activities.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the preparation and collection of project start-up documentation.
- Assist with project estimates.
- Understand and prepare preliminary, interim, and baseline schedules.
- Work with all members of the project team, including external stakeholders.
- Prepare and review project reports, budgets, and logs.
- Monitor process flows and submittals.
- Summarize risk events for Management.
- Prepare and manage notices and claims.
- Review and approve accounts payable.
- Problem solve technical matters.
- Assist in material procurment.
- Review all project close-out documents, including as-built drawings, manual, warranties, etc.
Required Competencies and Attributes:
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
- A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Project Manager, with a minimum of two (2) years Project Management experience focused on drywall activities.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Ability to pass applicable project related security screening and police background checks.
- Exceptional written and oral communication.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with advance organizational skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Strong understanding of CCDC contracts.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to read and understand client and project specifications.
- Previous experience with preparing and managing claims.
- Able to work in a team or independently.
Work Location: This is an in-office position working from the Head Office located in Burlington, Ontario; with possible visits to construction sites and/or client locations.
