Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Auto Body Assembler & Prepper to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing and assembling vehicle bodies with precision and care to ensure high-quality repairs and restorations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued for this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle bodies for repair by removing damaged panels and components
- Assemble new or replacement parts using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical techniques
- Perform surface preparation, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts and components safely and effectively
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to meet industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with technicians and other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
Skills
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in handling hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of automotive assembly processes and prep work
- Experience with automotive repair techniques, including bodywork and surface preparation
- Mechanic experience is a plus, providing a solid foundation for understanding vehicle systems
- Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and commitment to quality workmanship
Pay: $20.21-$39.42 per hour
