Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, ensuring food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest needs efficiently
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to provide attentive service without delay
- Assist with basic food preparation or setup as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar technology is advantageous
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment using effective time management skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order processing
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant serving roles is highly desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Knowledge of the Chinese cuisine or cultural nuances can be a plus but is not essential
