Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and experienced Acid Truck Driver to safely transport hazardous materials to various locations. Need a CLASS 1 with fluid experience. This role requires a strong focus on safety protocols, precise handling of chemicals, and reliable driving skills. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining safety standards while ensuring timely delivery of acid products.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks designated for transporting acid and other hazardous materials
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of chemicals, adhering to safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of the truck to maintain safety and operational standards
- Follow all transportation laws, safety guidelines, and company policies during deliveries
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to secure or handle cargo safely
Skills
- Proven experience in driving heavy trucks, preferably with hazardous materials handling
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to transporting acids and chemicals
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Good communication skills for coordination with team members and clients
- Ability to stay alert during long hours of driving and adhere strictly to safety protocols
Pay: $45.00-$48.00 per hour
