Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE Infant Toddler Educator to join our early childhood education team in Sidney BC. This role involves creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for infants and toddlers, supporting their developmental milestones and fostering a love for learning. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for working with young children. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to enhance our diverse learning community. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of infants and toddlers
- Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to child development
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress and daily activities
- Support children's individual needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and classroom strategies
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing standards
- Use computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Manage classroom routines efficiently through effective time management and organizational skills
Skills
- Proficiency in English; bilingual in French is a strong plus
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education; classroom experience preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices for infants and toddlers
- Ability to work effectively with children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage daily routines and documentation
- Computer operation skills for record keeping and educational planning
