Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and fully qualified and registered Psychologist to join our mental health care team. The ideal candidate will have experience in psychological testing, patient assessment, and diagnosis across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. The Psychologist will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and supporting individuals with various mental health conditions while adhering to PIPEDA and PHIPA regulations and maintaining accurate records.
Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine patient needs and provide diagnosis that can inform treatment planning.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to clients with conditions such as PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction issues, learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, etc.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, psychotherapists, educators, and caregivers to coordinate appropriate care and/or supports.
- Maintain detailed and confidential medical records in compliance with PHIPA and PIPEDA standards.
- Facilitate intake assessments for new clients and oversee psychological testing procedures.
- Conduct therapy sessions and assessments in office and via telehealth platforms.
- Supervise clinical staff or interns as needed and contribute to research initiatives aimed at improving mental health outcomes.
- Stay current with developments in mental health research and best practices for working with diverse populations such as children, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Psychologist in the Ontario.
- Proven experience in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, hospital settings, or school environments is highly preferred.
- Strong background in a variety of research-driven therapeutic interventions and DSM disorders
- Experience with psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, assessment, intake procedures, and psychotherapy techniques.
- Familiarity with PHIPA and PIPEDA regulations and experience managing medical records securely.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients of all ages and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
- Competence in providing telehealth services is desirable.
- Supervisory experience or background supervising interns or junior staff is a plus.
