Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food and beverage service. Prior experience with POS systems such as Micros is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while providing memorable dining experiences.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing POS systems such as Micros or similar platforms
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including bar and dining spaces
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations before and after shifts
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming environment for all guests
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros or similar platforms is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tables or bar orders simultaneously
- Good math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and managing tabs accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
