Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Red Seal Finishing Carpenter (or equal skill level) to join our construction team. This role requires a strong background in finish carpentry, and construction finishing, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with a variety of tools and materials. Quality and attention to detail are required to meet high quality expectations.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and sketches to accurately execute finishing tasks.
- Install doors, frames, and hardware both wood and metal.
- Layout and install casework, and cabinetry.
- Measure, fit, cut and install running trim using power and hand tools.
- Follow direction and work with other team members.
- Provide good productivity while not compromising workmanship to required high standards.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finishes meet company standards and client expectations.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in finish carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints, and construction drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Pay: $40.50 per hour
