Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Coding Teacher to inspire and educate students from ages 5-12 in computer programming and coding skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coding and classroom instruction, with the ability to create engaging lessons that foster a love for technology. Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive coding lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Create engaging, hands-on activities that promote active learning and critical thinking
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to learning and collaboration
- Integrate various educational tools and resources to enhance the coding curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and perseverance in learning programming languages
- Collaborate with other educators to align curriculum goals and improve instructional strategies
Experience
- Prior classroom experience teaching coding or related technology subjects is preferred
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scratch, or similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning is a plus
- Teaching certification or relevant educational credentials are advantageous but not required
