Cobourg Auto Collision is looking for a reliable, hardworking team member to join our shop as a Detailer / Shop Assistant. This is a hands-on position that combines vehicle detailing with general shop support and offers the opportunity to learn collision repair skills.
Every vehicle that comes through our shop is professionally detailed before it is returned to the customer, so attention to detail and pride in your work are essential.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles, inside and out
- Perform final quality checks before vehicles are delivered to customers
- Keep the shop clean and organized by:
- Sweeping floors
- Emptying garbage and recycling
- Breaking down and disposing of cardboard
- Putting away tools, hoses, and equipment
- Receive daily parts deliveries by checking orders against packing slips and organizing parts for technicians
- Assist technicians with vehicle teardown, including removing bumpers, trim, lights, and other components
- Learn additional shop duties and assist wherever needed
Qualifications
- Experience detailing vehicles is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Mechanically inclined or interested in learning collision repair
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, organized, and punctual
- Valid driver's license is preferred
