Job Description
Planted Love Food Truck is hiring an experienced line cook — someone who has run a station under real service pressure and can work fast and clean without close supervision. This is not an entry-level or prep role. We are not looking for dishwashers, prep assistants, or candidates whose food experience is retail/grocery-based.
Requirements (all required)
- Minimum 3 years of line cook experience in a restaurant, food truck, or catering kitchen — working a station during active service, not just prep
- Valid Food Safe certification — must be in hand before your start date, not in progress
- Demonstrated ability to work a fryer, flat-top, and/or line independently
- Strong knife skills and comfort with high-volume prep under time pressure
- Experience working events or mobile/food truck service preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work standing for full shifts, including lifting/loading supplies
- Fluent English for communicating with customers and team during service
Responsibilities
- Run assigned station during service — cooking to spec, plating, and maintaining pace during rushes
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards throughout service
- Set up and break down the truck/booth at events and service locations
- Support point-of-sale and light cash handling as needed
- Work efficiently alongside the team during high-volume periods
