Driver / General Labour

We are currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter as Full-time Driver/General Labour to join our team. This position will report directly to the team leader.
Key Accountabilities
- Required to drive company van for deliveries and pick up
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies
- Maintain effective communications with other production team members
- Sub-assembly and final assembly of products
- Read drawings and assembly instructions
- Participate in behavioral-based safety programs
- Maintain training to keep skills and qualifications current
- Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Experience and Education:
- Previous driving experience for a company is an asset
- Experience working in a metal fabrication shop environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must have a valid “G” licence and clean driving record to comply with insurance requirements
- Demonstrated safety focus, with an ability to understand and follow all safety and operational procedures and policies
- Ability to work independently, effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Team player who also has the ability to work individually, managing multiple demands and competing priorities
- Proactive problem-solver, but exercises quick and decisive action when issues arise
- Collaborates with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
- Forklift licence is an asset
