Pickline Sorter
The Pickline Sorter is a production line position in a manufacturing environment. Employees will work as part of a team in order to sort recyclable material from Single Stream Recycling and Construction and Demolition debris. This individual will have the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic and growing team of individuals and will have the opportunity to work in numerous areas of a modern recycling facility. Must have own transportation.
Job Duties:
- Manually sort recyclable materials from construction and demolition debris from a conveyer belt
- Cleaning of work area during down time and at end of shift
- Stacking or moving product may be required
- Perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner and abide by all Company policies and procedures
- Responsible for reporting any damage to equipment and tools to Shift Supervisor
- Communicate with fellow employees in the work area and shift supervisor via 2 way radio.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Able to work under pressure
- Equipment and spatial awareness
- Verbal Communication (use of two way radio communication required, training provided)
The following certificates are not required but will be considered an asset:
- Constructive Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
- First Aid
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry
Work Conditions:
- Indoor environment
- Constant standing, twisting and forward bending (stress mats provided)
- Fast work pace
- Constant hand activity (Griping, grasping, pushing, pulling, wrist rotation)
- Dusty environment (respiratory equipment required and training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a group setting
- Perform simple and repetitive tasks
PPE Requirements:
- Steel Toe boots (not provided by company)
Transportation Travel Information:
No Public Transportation available.
Hours & Availability:
Monday to Friday 7:00 am-4:30 pm
All positions are eligible for overtime as required and approved by the Supervisor.
Wage: $17/hr based on candidates experience and skill set.
