Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Youth Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance to children and youth, including those with disabilities, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Support youth through daily routines, emotional regulation, and life‑skills development
- Implement behaviour support plans and trauma‑informed interventions
- Respond to crises using approved de‑escalation strategies
- Build strong, professional relationships with youth while maintaining boundaries
- Facilitate structured programming, recreation, and community engagement
- Complete accurate documentation and incident reports
- Work closely with clinicians, caseworkers, and a multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- CYW/CYC diploma or related education (DSW, SSW, BA in Psych/Soc)
- Experience supporting youth with behavioural or mental health challenges
- Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis‑intervention skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overnights
- Valid First Aid/CPR (CPI an asset)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Pay: $22.50-$24.10 per hour

- Working with youths: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Police Record Check (required)
