The Q Fish & Chips is looking for a reliable and experienced Kitchen Staff / Cook to join our team in Wingham, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food quality standards are met. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, responsible, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards
- Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
- Follow all food safety and health regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with kitchen supply management
- Receive, store, and handle food products properly
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of kitchen or food preparation experience required
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and restaurant procedures
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wingham, ON
