Reporting to the Welding Foreman, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
- Assist journeyman welders and perform welding duties
- Operate welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment
- Operate drill presses and band saw
- Prep and finish material and projects for manufacturing
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Prepare jigs and set-ups for welding
- Troubleshoot production problems and take preventative or corrective action
- Recommend changes to improve quality and reduce costs
- General maintenance/clean-up of the shop and yard
- Painting and finishing of products
- Assembly of products
- Operating the plasma cutting table
- Operating the forklift to receive orders
- Frequent deliveries/pick-ups
Requirements:
- Registered as a 1st-year apprentice.
- Able to commute reliably to and from work
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Forklift certification (is an asset)
- Able to drive a truck with a trailer (is an asset)
- Must provide your own steel toe boots
- WHMIS and First Aid training (is an asset)
Shift: 10 hours/day, Monday to Thursday,

- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
- Overhead crane: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (required)
