We are currently seeking Journeypersons, 3 Year, and 2 Year Apprentice Abrasive Blasters for the Syncrude Aurora Turnaround/Outage.
Abrasive blasting experience is required. Industrial coatings experience is considered a strong asset.
Project Details
- Location: Mildred Lake
- Duration: August 25 to approximately September 25
- Shifts: 6-1 and 18-3
- Union: Local 177
Qualifications
- Journeyperson, 3 Year, or 2 Year Apprentice.
- Previous abrasive blasting experience required.
- Industrial coatings experience is an asset.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to safely perform the duties of the position and comply with site safety requirements.
- Must be clean shaven to achieve a proper respirator seal and must be able to pass site-specific respiratory fit testing.
- Must be able to perform safety-sensitive work.
Required Certifications
Applicants must provide current:
- OSSA Regional
- OSSA BSO or Energy Safety Canada CSO
- ACTI/Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry and Monitor
- ACTI/Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
- WHMIS 2015
Additional Requirements
- Syncrude/Suncor pre-access web-based training is required.
- Must meet all site access requirements.
