Responsible for Service Center Branch performance including creating and executing the service business plan, ensuring branch profitability, and management of the service technicians and branch associates. Plans and implements strategies to facilitate continuous improvement and provide sound leadership for the workforce.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Manage the Service Center branch operations to ensure the highest standards of safety, productivity and customer service are met.
- Conduct repairs on industry tools and equipment.
- Direct and coordinate Repair Technician daily workflow.
- Work with Sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities for repair service and make joint sales calls with Account Managers.
- Analyze and evaluate costs and budget and conduct forecasting to understand branch progress towards sales goals and objectives.
- Work with Pricing and Sales teams to conduct negotiations with vendors.
- Manage, train, and develop branch staff and anticipate staffing requirements to meet operational needs.
Nature and Scope
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of people leadership.
- 5+ years' experience in an electronics and/or mechanical field.
- Leadership abilities, proficient verbal and written communication, customer service, organization, time management and prioritization, sales.
