Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated ECE Level 1 professional, with 2-3yrs hands-on experience & ability to drive, to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing and educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in caregiving, and a foundational understanding of early childhood education principles. This position offers an opportunity to grow professionally while making a positive impact on children's lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for children.
- Support teachers with daily activities, including lesson planning and classroom management.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Provide care and supervision during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines.
- Support children with individual needs, including those with disabilities or special requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols and health guidelines to ensure a secure environment for children.
- Drive the daycare vehicle for pick-up and drop-off of kids in the out-of-school care program.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Background in teaching or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to care for children with patience, compassion, and professionalism.
- Previous caregiving experience that showcases nurturing skills and responsibility in an educational setting is advantageous. - Valid Alberta Child Care Certification-Level 1 (required)
