Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll Off Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks to transport and dispose of waste materials efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving background, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and a commitment to safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on timely service delivery and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll-off trucks to pick up, transport, and deliver waste containers to designated disposal sites
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload waste containers, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations
- Communicate effectively with team members and dispatchers regarding schedule updates or issues encountered during routes
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles
Experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required for all positions
- Prior experience operating large trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is highly desirable
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout the shift
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation and waste management operations
- Strong driving skills with an emphasis on safe maneuvering in various traffic conditions
