Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, and laminate, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing a range of construction and carpentry skills.
Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation according to blueprints and project plans
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and lay flooring materials accurately
- Install tile, hardwood, laminate, or other flooring types following industry standards and safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
- Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling, underlayment installation, and caulking as needed
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and maintain quality standards
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after use
- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify proper installation and finish quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction work
- Proficiency with hand tools, carpentry techniques, and blueprint reading
- Strong knowledge of flooring materials, surface preparation, and caulking techniques
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various construction tasks
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Prior experience with tile laying, carpentry, or general construction is preferred
