The Associate Insurance Advisor - Commercial support person is a key player in the support and development of the agency operations primarily through the service and sales of Co-operators commercial property, commercial auto, and farm products as well as personal lines auto and home.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Service, sales and profitable growth of both personal lines and specialty lines products
- Commercial policy processing and ceritficates, working with Commercial Advisors to complete applications
- Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs
- Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client
- Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines
- Prospect and cross sell by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client.
- Complete Client Reviews
- Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals
- Support programs to build multi-client relationships
- Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately
- Proactively complete client reviews on the auto, home portfolio
- Support financial services sales activities in the agency

To join our team:
- General Insurance Level 1 License is required, Level 2 preferred
- Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses
- Applicant should live locally
- A minimum of 2+ years of insurance industry experience including commercial lines experience is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of commercial auto and property insurance products
- Experience with selling techniques is an asset.
- Must be skilled in communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, client service, decision making, problem solving
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced collaborative environment
- Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Reliable vehicle is required due to office location in the county
Compensation – A competitive compensation package and benefits program.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
