As a Karate Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering structured training sessions that emphasize technique, safety, and personal growth while creating an energetic and motivating atmosphere for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging karate classes tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced students
- Teach fundamental karate techniques, forms (katas), sparring drills, and self-defense skills with clarity and enthusiasm
- Ensure the safety of all students by monitoring proper technique and enforcing safety protocols during training
- Foster a positive environment that encourages respect, discipline, and perseverance among students
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Maintain a clean and organized training area, ensuring all equipment is safe and properly stored
- Promote class attendance and motivate students to achieve their personal martial arts goals
Experience
- Shotokan Style Katas
- Proven experience teaching karate or other martial arts in a structured setting
- Strong knowledge of karate techniques, forms, and self-defense methods
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate learners of diverse ages
- Experience working with children, teens, or adults in a fitness or educational environment is preferred
- Certification in martial arts instruction or relevant coaching credentials are highly desirable
