We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our growing team in Iqaluit, NU. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to transition from the tools into project management while contributing to meaningful, high-impact projects across Nunavut.

Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds such as:
- Mechanical Construction
- Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Oil Burner Mechanic
- Mechanical Service
- Building Controls
- Fire Protection
- Fuel Systems
- Mechanical Construction
Previous coordination or construction administration experience is considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical knowledge and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track material procurement to support project schedules
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and site instructions
- Support change order pricing and project documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Maintain organized project records and communication
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Mechanical trade or construction background preferred
- 1–3 years of related experience considered an asset
Compensation
Salary range: $75,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
