Looking for the Fleet Safety & Compliance Coordinator, who is responsible for ensuring that the company's drivers, trucks, and trailers remain compliant with all applicable transportation regulations and company policies. This role monitors drivers' electronic logbooks (ELDs), reviews Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, maintains driver qualification files, and ensures that all fleet documentation is accurate, current, and audit-ready.
The coordinator tracks the expiration and renewal of driver licenses, medical certificates, permits, registrations, insurance, inspections, and other required documents. They work closely with drivers, dispatch, maintenance, and management to identify compliance issues, resolve violations, and promote a safe and efficient fleet operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor drivers' electronic logbooks (ELDs) and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Review and address logbook violations and communicate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate Driver Qualification (DQ) files.
- Ensure driver licenses, medical certificates, training records, and other qualifications remain current.
- Track truck and trailer registrations, insurance, permits, inspections, and maintenance records.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and regulatory inspection requirements.
- Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain compliance records in accordance with federal, provincial, and company regulations.
- Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and drivers to resolve compliance-related issues.
- Report compliance concerns, upcoming document expirations, and safety trends to management.
- Support the implementation of fleet safety policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in transportation, logistics, or business administration is an asset.
- Experience in trucking, transportation, fleet management, or regulatory compliance preferred.
- Knowledge of ELD systems, Hours of Service regulations, and transportation compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Pay: Hourly wage is negotiable and will be offered based on the applicant's experience,
qualifications, and overall suitability for the role.
Pay: $35,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
