Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, transmission work, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery safely and effectively
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed service records and document all work performed
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders
- Assist in training or mentoring junior technicians when required
- Uphold customer service standards by communicating effectively with clients about repair needs and timelines
Experience
- Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is highly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, mechanical repair, and maintenance procedures
- Hands-on experience with welding, schematics interpretation, and assembly processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in automotive repair
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily duties
- Demonstrated experience working with automotive electrical systems and engine diagnostics
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Prior experience working with maintenance protocols and adhering to safety guidelines is a plus
