Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the frontline representative, assisting customers with their purchases, providing product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Previous automotive experience is a plus, along with proficiency in POS systems and retail sales operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their needs
- Assist customers in selecting products, providing detailed product information and recommendations
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments securely
- Manage order fulfillment, including inventory checks and coordinating with warehouse
- Maintain organized and clean sales counters to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting new products to customers
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, and industry trends
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, or automotive parts is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional attitude
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes is advantageous
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced retail setting
- Strong marketing awareness to promote products effectively
