Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles over long distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a dynamic environment, utilizing various skills including heavy equipment operation and automotive repair knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate large commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify and address any mechanical issues
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance records
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on the road
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with long-haul routes
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation
- Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for maintaining vehicle performance during trips
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment or performing vehicle maintenance is advantageous

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
