Job Overview: We are looking for a reliable landscape maintenance worker, duties during the summer months, include mowing lawns, laying mulch, sod, soil, garden maintenance and maintaining residential properties, winter duties include shoveling, operating a snow blower. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work irregular hours based on weather conditions. This is a part-time, year-round position.
Key Responsibilities:
Winter (Snow Removal - Residential):
- Shovel and operate snow blower along with the crew to clear snow from residential driveways, walkways, and parking areas.
- Monitor weather conditions and adapt snow removal operations as needed to ensure timely service and maintain safe, clear surfaces for residents.
- Work efficiently during snowstorms, early mornings, late nights, and weekends, based on weather needs.
Summer (Landscape Maintenance):
- Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining flower beds and gardens.
- Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and other tools.
- Perform lawn care tasks such as fertilizing, aerating, and edging.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of garden features.
- Ensure properties are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing, meeting clients’ expectations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with homeowners.
Qualifications:
- Valid Full G Driver’s License (required).
- Ability to get to and from work.
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance (preferred).
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including during snowstorms and summer heat.
- Flexible work hours, with availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime during peak snow removal season.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physically capable of performing outdoor work, including lifting heavy objects and operating equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with residential snow removal or similar equipment.
- Landscaping or horticulture knowledge, including familiarity with lawn care techniques and garden maintenance.
- Knowledge of snow removal best practices and safety in winter conditions.
Compensation:
Competitive wage based on experience.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
