Knife Grinder / Shop Assistant
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Knife Grinder / Shop Assistant to join our team.
No previous knife-grinding experience is required — we provide on-the-job training for the right candidate. This is a hands-on position in a shop environment, with opportunities to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
- Operate and learn to operate knife-grinding and shop equipment
- Assist with grinding, sharpening, finishing, and handling knives
- Perform general shop and production duties
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and instructions
- Work efficiently as part of a team
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Previous shop, manufacturing, or grinding experience is an asset but not required

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
