Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to ensure precise and efficient production of high-quality components. Duties
- Develop and write CNC programs based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Test and simulate CNC programs to verify accuracy before implementation on the production floor.
- Set up CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw materials, ensuring proper calibration.
- Monitor machine operations during production runs to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, modifications, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot machining problems and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all programming activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret engineering specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of G-code programming language and CNC machine operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience with multi-axis machining is a plus.
- Formal education in manufacturing technology, machining, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
